As a digital artist, I explore the complexity of emotional landscapes and the inner self through 3D art. My work delves into illustrative space, continuously evolving through experimentation and inquiry to shape a distinct visual language.
The interaction of opposing sensations is the starting point of this exploration.
A bright, sunny day with a lingering chill—this simple scene stirs up complex emotions. It reflectst he human mind caught between warmth and cold, passion and loneliness, reality and illusion. Withinthese uncertain spaces, hidden feelings of vulnerability and anxiety come to the surface.
Since December 3rd, sudden violence has disrupted what once felt like an ordinary, peaceful life. The quiet threats and underlying fears that we often ignored have now become a part of our everyday reality. South Korea’s democracy was built through the struggles of citizens, workers, and students, from the Gwangju Uprising in 1980 to the June Democracy Movement in 1987. But as someone born in 1989, I only knew about dictatorships from history books—something that felt distant and unrelated to my own life.
Yet, on that night, which seemed no different from any other, everything stopped. Our daily lives were shattered, trampled, and thrown into chaos. Though the moment passed quickly, its impact still lingers, even after nearly two months.
A Bright Cold Day tells the story of an ordinary day, one filled with the quiet possibility of violence hidden beneath its surface. But even in the middle of this uncertainty, people continue to search for understanding and coexistence, finding new meaning in the tension between opposing forces.
This work goes beyond conflict—it explores the delicate balance of emotions and the quiet struggles we face in our everyday lives.
